Small Inn Lodging
A small inn is traditionally an establishment where the guest can expect to find lodging, food and drink. Although larger hotels provide all of these through room service or an on premises restaurant, these are not usually considered to be inns. An inn is usually located in a more rural area, near smaller ski resorts, hunting/fishing areas, or beaches. An inn may frequently be an establisment whose primary business is as a restaurant or tavern for the community, that also offers rooms to travelers. A room at an inn will frequently, but not always, have a private bathroom and food and drink is served in a large common room near the entrance of the inn.
